The Freeze Alarm can be programmed by either plugging a standard, single line telephone into the front program jack or remotely programming it from an outside telephone or cell phone. The Freeze Alarm is used to protect homes, cabins, and businesses against winter freeze temperatures and the resulting water damage caused by burst pipes. The most common causes of frozen pipes are furnace failures and prolonged power failures. The Deluxe FA-D2 model will also heat up your cabin before you arrive with a phone call. The FA-D2 and FA-I models automatically call up to three telephone numbers when the temperature drops or if the power is out. They will even remind you when you need to change the back-up battery! Check the current temperature of your remote property or change any of the settings from any phone in the world. These two models can also alert you if the temperature rises above your alarm set-point making them perfect for greenhouses, computer rooms, or temperature sensitive facilities.
